Eco Choice Aotearoa’s standard for home and commercial cleaning services helps you choose suppliers committed to minimising their environmental impact and prioritising your health.

Cleaning services with this certification must:

• Use environmentally preferable cleaning products (see Detergents and Cleaners) without hazardous chemicals,
• Have sustainable procurement policies for all other equipment including vehicles and consumables,
• Have procedures in place to limit emissions, waste, water and energy usage
• Provide training to staff.

The Cleaning Services standard does not cover specialist services such as carpet shampooing.
