Dezignatek has been operating in New Zealand since 2004 and has built its reputation on producing high-quality, custom-made thermoformed profile doors, drawers and panels for the joinery industry.

Dezignatek is owned by New Zealand Panels Group with its production based at a state-of-the art production facility in East Tamaki.

The range of thermoform profiles and colours represent the best available from the international market and cover a range of designs and finishes.

Dezignatek has a strong focus on constant process improvements in its manufacturing that will reduce waste, improve energy usage and provide a long-lasting high-quality product.   Key initiatives include:-

• Using HDF (high density fibreboard) substrate which is sustainably sourced within New Zealand and is moisture-resistant.   It is also low formaldehyde with an EO rating.
• Ensuring waste vinyl is minimised by using spare space on the press to produce samples, and then compacting the remaining vinyl which is sent for recycling and turned into useful items such as bumper bars, gumboots and playground matting.
• Using waste HDF offcuts and turning into dunnage – the packing blocks used between pallets.
• Only using electricity from certified renewable resources.
