Prime Panels was formed in 2002 and is owned by NZ Panels Group.  The company produces a range of interior decorative surface panels in melamine, veneer and high pressure laminate along with a range of 3D wall panels.  It also distributes low-silica composite stone and HPL for benchtops.

The company has built its business and reputation by providing personal, hands-on service from people who have the practical experience and expertise to support specifiers and joiners when designing or working with our panel products.

As a leader in the panel industry, Prime Panels and its parent New Zealand Panels Group, adopts and promotes sustainable business practices designed to minimise our national and global environmental impact.

This includes:

• The use of responsibly sourced decorative materials for our pressed panels
• Using low formaldehyde board.
• A constant focus on reducing our manufacturing waste and re-using and re-purposing materials where possible.
• Only using electricity from certified renewable sources and reducing usage wherever possible.
• Our East Tamaki plant is rated as a GreenStar 4* building and features a number of initiatives that have significantly improved our environmental footprint.
